CoachNow and Elite Coach Booking are built around different jobs, and that is the whole comparison. CoachNow is where a coach breaks down a swing, records a voice-over, and keeps a private conversation going with each athlete. Elite Coach Booking is where a client finds you, books a lesson, pays you, and gets reminded, on a website that belongs to you.
Which CoachNow alternatives fit private lesson coaches?
CoachNow alternatives for private lesson coaches split by job. If video analysis is what clients pay for, a dedicated video app such as OnForm is the closer swap. If the job is the business around the lesson, Elite Coach Booking replaces CoachNow’s Academy scheduling and billing with a coaching website, venue-aware booking, packages, and payments to your own Stripe account, from $39 a month.
You set your schedule once, automated reminders go out with the time and place, and package credits are tracked on each client’s record. For more options by job, see the picks for independent sports coaches.
What does CoachNow cost?
CoachNow publishes three memberships on its pricing page, checked October 7, 2026:
- Analyze: $9.99 a month or $59 a year, with 5 Spaces and Groups and a 250-item media library.
- PRO: $49.99 a month or $499 a year, adding multi-camera recording, post scheduling, smart lists, and templates.
- Academy: $89.99 a month or $899 a year, adding integrated session scheduling, a facility calendar, invoicing and billing through Stripe Connect, and third-party integrations. Groups of three or more coaches get a quote.
Every plan includes the core video tools, and CoachNow offers a free 7-day trial through its app. The detail that matters for a business owner is where the business tools start: scheduling and billing are on Academy, not on the plans that cost less.
What does the fee difference look like?
CoachNow’s terms of service say that card payments run through Stripe and that CoachNow applies a 0.50% technology fee to all transactions, on top of Stripe’s standard processing. Use your own numbers. Say you take $4,000 a month in lesson payments. That fee is $20 a month, added to the $89.99 Academy plan you need for billing, which makes $109.99 before Stripe’s processing. On Elite Coach Booking Core the month costs $39, and no ECB fee is added to those payments. Stripe’s standard processing applies in both cases.
Where is CoachNow stronger?
Video. CoachNow’s coach features page lists annotation tools, voice-over, CoachCam, side-by-side comparison, skeleton tracking with angle detection, live multi-camera recording, and slow motion up to 240 FPS. Its Spaces, Groups, and Lists keep each athlete’s history and your messages in one place, and its Academy plan lists integrations with club systems, launch monitors, and handicapping. If you teach golf or any sport where frame-by-frame analysis is the product, that tool set is deeper than anything Elite Coach Booking ships. Elite Coach Booking’s video reviews are a paid product with voice-over, slow motion, and drawing, not a full analysis suite.
How does the coaching website differ?
CoachNow’s Academy 101 guide describes a Coach Profile where athletes buy packages and subscriptions, and a public booking link you can add to your own website or email. The CoachNow pages we read list no website builder, so the site that wins the client is a separate job. Elite Coach Booking includes the coaching website, and an offer you save in the app publishes to it right away.
How does booking and payment differ?
CoachNow Academy now takes online payments through Stripe Connect. Its billing help article describes packages and subscriptions with automatic credit tracking, a 15-minute slot hold during checkout, and invoices. That covers the basics of selling a package. What it does not describe is travel: Elite Coach Booking’s scheduling understands your venues, service area, and drive time, and it offers private lessons, packages, clinics, camps, and recurring slots, each with its own rules. Payments land in your own Stripe account, and the coach owns the calendar and the money.
Can I use both?
Yes, and for a coach who sells video feedback it is a sensible setup. Keep CoachNow for the analysis and the athlete conversation. Run the public site, booking, packages, and payments in Elite Coach Booking, and send athletes from your lesson page to their CoachNow Space. You pay for the CoachNow plan whose video and messaging tools you use, and the business side costs a flat $39 or $79 a month.
Who should stay on CoachNow?
Stay on CoachNow if video feedback and ongoing athlete communication are what clients pay you for, if you run a golf facility that wants Golf Genius roster sync and launch-monitor integrations, or if you manage several coaches under one Academy account. If you are an independent coach who wants the site, the booking, and the money in your own hands, start in the Launch Room.
